Prerequisites:

• GitHub account (for redeeming a trial)
• Virtual machine platform
  • If you want to do this locally, try VirtualBox
  • Alternatively, if you want to not mess up storage space, try OpenMetal
• A decent amount of time
• Knowledge in the platform you're using

Redeeming the Trial

Step 1: Go to enterprise.github.com.
Step 2: You'll land on a page like this:

Click on the "Start Free Trial" button. On the "Pick your trial plan" page click "Enterprise Server." On the next page enter your information. MAKE SURE ON THE "Installation type" QUESTION YOU SELECT ON YOUR OWN SERVERS!!! You'll need direct, root level access. After hitting submit, check your email inbox and go to the next page.
