Lean Six Sigma I

ENGR-6230

Learn the fundamentals of lean and six sigma philosophies and gain experience with a toolkit to improve existing processes by applying them to relevant workplace process. The Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) improvement cycle is used, in which students learn and gain experience using multiple tools for each step of the improvement cycle, including voice of customer (VOC), quality functional deployment (QFD), 5S, Kaizens, and plan-do-check-act (PDCA).
