Biological Processes in Environmental Engineering

ENVE-4350

The study of biochemical and biological processes common to environmental engineering. Introductory physiology, biochemistry and ecology of bacteria, yeasts, fungi. Laboratory work in microbial techniques. Development of reaction rate and mass balances on biological processes for pollution control. Includes experimental analysis of natural and engineered biological processes, emphasizing experimental design, data evaluation, and report writing. Â
