Topics include the measurement and determinants of health; economics of uncertainty, adverse selection, and moral hazard; economic models of demand for healthcare and demand for insurance; key markets in the healthcare sector such as physicians, hospitals, and insurance companies; policy effects on the matching between health care demand and supply; and political economy and organizational reform in medical care.
