This advanced graduate level course will focus on the structure, bonding, and reactivity of transition metal coordination compounds. The course will cover group theory, ligand field theory, substitution reactions, photochemistry, catalysis, and redox reactions. Examples from the literature will be included to highlight the current research trends and applications of coordination compounds.
