Earth And Sky

ASTR-1540

An introduction to astronomy and planetary science from an observational perspective. Students will learn the basics of observing the night-time sky, both with the unaided eye and through telescopic observation. Observations of Earth from space, the exploration of our Solar System, and the quest to find Earth-like planets in other solar systems will also be discussed. The course is suitable for non-physics and non-science majors.
