The mission of the Rensselaer Center for Open Source (RCOS) is to cultivate an inclusive, creative, and entrepreneurial community that seeks to empower students to develop open-source solutions to real-world problems. In this course, students lead a project team and work on an open source project that they have initially worked on in CSCI 4700. Students are required to manage this project, substantially contribute to this project, and present their project work as a final oral presentation. This course may not be repeated, with final grades based on effort, contributions, presentation, and the success of the given project. To register for this course, students must provide an individual project proposal to the instructor prior to the start of the semester.
